There are several types of feeders for ball mills
Feeding through the chute: The material enters the tapered sleeve located inside the hollow journal of the ball mill through the chute, and slides into the mill along the rotating barrel wall.
The drum feeder has a spiral ore feeding mechanism inside the barrel. When the ore feeder rotates with the ball mill, the ore is fed into the ball mill along the spiral line. It is only used when the feeding position is higher than the ball mill. The process position of the axis is suitable for dry materials, so it is often used when the ball mill is grinding in an open circuit.
Spiral feeder It is a spiral spoon with a replaceable spoon mouth at the end of the spiral. The working principle of the screw feeder is the same as that of the drum feeder, but the structure is different. The spiral feeder is suitable for wet feeding and is commonly used in closed-circuit grinding cycles of ball mills and classifiers.
Combined feeder It is composed of drum and spiral feeder. It can feed both dry ore and wet materials. Coarse grain feeding can be directly lifted by the spiral partition through the hole in the cover and sent into the hollow journal. The returned sand in the trough is scooped up by the spoon and hook and then sent into the hollow through the spiral partition of the cylinder. journal. This method not only increases the throughput of the feeder, but also eliminates the need to pick up coarse materials with a spoon, thereby reducing the wear of the spoon. Relatively speaking, joint feeders are widely used.
